Bethany Polanski started riding at the young age of 6 and enjoyed Moto Xing with family and friends. She progressed to short circuit racing in 2012 and had a trying first season to say the least. In her second outing she had an accident on the warm up lap and broke her elbow, which put her out for 12 weeks. She came back at the latter end of the season and progressed well. 2013 saw a promising start to the season, and she improved steadily throughout, she was awarded the Tom Dickie Memorial trophy in July by the Melville Motor Club Marshalls. Then disaster struck the team when her Team Mate and father Matt Polanski suffered a tragic accident and lost his life. As you can imagine this knocked the entire family for six, but, in true Polanski fashion Beth was determined to get back on her bike and Uncle Callum and Mum Jill bravely continued to support her.

Beth missed a round of the championship yet still secured a 3rd place finish in the KMSC 125 championship and the NEMCRC 125 championship. As well as her Tom Dickie award she was also presented with the Marshalls Rider of the year from KMSC.

She will continue to ride her beloved Aprilia 125's in 2014, and the team are fundraising hard to support her. Each race meeting averages a cost of £300 and your support is very much appreciated by all of us.
